Saint Johns is located in the centre of Boonton, in a very quaint and welcoming area. The building is small, but elegant, with huge windows to allow natural light - it truly is the perfect place to play bingo! Situated in a lavish green area, St Johns is also surrounded by tall, beautiful trees, giving a sense of security to the building as well as providing serenity to anyone walking to the entrance. The local area is filled with booming businesses, ranging from family-owned takeouts to exciting stores such as Walmart! Not only is the church conveniently placed around helpful stores and restaurants to grab a bite to eat, as well as stunning greenery, it is also a short walk from the famous Boonton gorge!

The history of Saint Johns.

When playing bingo at Saint Johns, you are also relishing in the building's history, learning and embracing their culture and way of life. Saint John's Episcopal Church welcomes you to their vibrant and growing parish, located in the heart of Northern New Jersey. Community seems to be a huge part of what it means to be a parishioner at St. John’s. St. John’s has been present in Boonton for over 161 years, constantly striving for JOY towards the community. St. John’s is most likely a continuation of the pre-revolutionary St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church, which was located in the original village of Boonetown. St. Bartholomew’s was torn down in 1816, which allowed way for St Johns to be formed only 40 years on! They are an inclusive worship community that strives to live out their baptismal covenant to what they say, "seek and serve Christ in all persons" and to "strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being."

Parking and Travel

There is Plenty of on-street parking available on Cornelia Street for civilians who are visiting Saint Johns. Handy, right?

Not travelling by car? Not to worry! Boonton train station is a 5 minute walk away from the church, making this bingo hall easily accessible if you are travelling a little further than usual! If you are looking to connect with your local community, make friends, as well as learning about local culture and embracing the natural wildlife and environment surrounding the building, then Saint Johns could be the bingo hall for you! With convenient parking and placement of the building, allowing you to grab a bite to eat before or after your game, what more could you ask for?
